The War Outside My Home
The War Outside My Home
A war outside my home ,
The Axis powers all in one force without
any remorse .
"Stand Aside A Soldier ", used to say .
We need to hide ....
You will have to make a journey all on
your own .
No sending any letters , for this war has
been pending for a long time .
Hooray !!!!! In 1945 the war ended.
As buildings and homes were mended.
It was a day to remember , As it was a
war outside my home.

I wrote this poem for all those brave hearts who laid down their lives fighting for their country . I have grown up over the years watching my mother read World War books and take pride in her collection of the war time books .
