Your Home
The lifeless look on my
aged face
No, I am not old
Time didn't age me
you did.
Sat on a deck surrounded
by people who love me.
Yet, all I can think of is
you.
The one who said they loved me
but only ever hurt me.
I am in your town
for the first time
in forever.
I am trying not to
think of you
but I can't avoid
my hurt
you caused.
You are everywhere
but, you are nowhere.
You are what I see
when I close my eyes
So I stay laying awake.
You are my pain
You are my suffering
You are my hate
but you are never mine.
Pain demands to be spoken.
