what is home if not the first place you run from when it rejects you,
and the first place to go once you make it your own.
What is freedom if not the first time you are truly lonely.
After my backpack is packed
and I don’t look back,
What is the cause of my lightheadedness,
My newfound freedom,
Or my all encompassing loneliness?
What is the cause of my heartache,
The way I left,
Or the fact that I’m gone?
