The Sun

The light of a new day dawns again
Radiating new life.
The night is done, the day has come
To end the darkness and strife.
But just like that, it sets again,
It leaves without a trace.
Instead the moon and stars come out
To fill the empty space.
The days go by like a whirl of wind,
Then weeks and months and years.
Our lives are short, so spend them well,
Before the sun disappears.
Our lives are like the rising sun,
We come in blazing glory.
But just like always the sun will set,
To end the magnificent story.
