Moonlight
Why is there moonlight
in the darkest nights
there is moonlight
In the brightest days
there is sunlight
but why am I missing my moonlight
the harsh reality
the cold stares
the dark mind numbing truth
in it all I am lost
in the dark
an orphan
a loner
a child
alone wishing
upon a star
for a lighted path
out of the darkness
a moon rises
stars surround it
and others praise it
but I
I follow it
as it warms my heart
and blesses me
with a home
calling me forth
and making sure
I am protected
This is my
moonlight

This is a reference to God, I use this to show that I found God and he found me, as the moon/sun is referenced as God. This is a story of my travels and my pain and how God took me in as a parent does a child.
