Tick, Tock
My eyes travel up to
the round, blue clock perched
on the classroom wall
Tick-
a never-blinking face staring at
the student who eagerly waits...
Tock
for the end of class
Light reflected off
Tick-
the waxed bamboo covering that form...
Tock
a protective layer
A growl reverberated with
my stomach which eagerly longs for...
Tick -
warm rice and meat
Tock
As each moustache twitched
class was coming
to an end
Tick-
Tock
My travelled across to
the cold, brown floor positioned
on the body of the Earth

This poem was written when I had a sudden hit of insiration by looking at the classroom clock. My strongest memories to deal with clocks is staring at it a few minutes before lunchtime. So, I made it the subject of the poem.
