Tears of mine
Tears tears and more tears
they roll down and flow before
I wipe them clean of my face
crying is a dangerous game
at least where I am at
everywhere else I am free to cry
but never here in front of those who veiw it a weakness
as they say you are to have
no weakness
no pain
just brute strength
I am not meant to be
that way
I want to be free
break these crude chains
I have loathed to see
and yet have worn for so long
I pray to God
Lord save me
yet only a soft wind responds
soon child soon
you will be safe and loved
when will that day come
I wonder staring at my prison
the walls are nearly ready
to start crumbling
to dust
and I will be free
I see a light
warmth fills me
my tears are coming
but something is lurking
inside me
these are not sad tears
no
they are joyful
and as I realize I am
free the walls
crumble around me
my chains shatter
and a figure embraces me
he says you are free
and loved like always
I am finally happy
I can be free
goodbye to the sorrows of old
and hello to the joys of now
it is time
I am finally free
and I rejoice and celebrate through
the night carefree
This is me
the true me
free at last for eternity
