Favorite Quote:
When life gets tough, use music to drown it out.

I stare at her long and hard

Filled with frustration and disgust

Her hair, not straight enough

Her thighs, not thick enough

Her waist, not skinny enough

Her breasts, not full enough

Her teeth, not white or straight enough

Her face, not pretty enough

She’s just hideous

How could he like her?

It doesn’t make sense

I wanted to punch her

But if I did,

The mirror would shatter

And so would my heart

For thinking such cruel things

I've struggled with body image issues and I think this poem depicts how I feel perfectly.
