Soul
To the Broken Soul
Who can't Recall
The Warmth of Good and Joy
To the Deep Down Crier
Who's Lost Your Way
And Cannot Find a Light
To the One in the Rain
Who’s Never Known
The Sun and Cloudless Sky
To the Searching Child
Trapped Deep Inside
You Know There Must be More
To the Grief-Struck One
Who Weeps for Yourself
And the Life You Never Lived
To You Who Can't Find
The Soul You Know is Somewhere Inside
And the Cure You Must Have Lost
For the Feelings That You Never Felt
And the Ice Heart You Cannot Melt
And the Sorries Said Inside
The Child was Born With The Light of Christ
And Thought It Lived Inside
But the Pains and Tears Broke Through Your Heart
And Now That Light is Dim
And You Search the World but Cannot Find
Any Burnt-Heart Salves
You Searched to Heal but You Never Did
You Never Searched Your Soul
For Fear of What the Inside Could Hide
The Monster in Your Closet is
A Monster in your Heart
And You Never Took a Candle in To See if it Was Real
You Never Checked and You’ll Never Search
Because You’re Afraid of The Dark
You’ll Never See Your Light
You’ll Never Find a Cure
You’ll Never Let Me Show
The Path to Being Whole
Oh So Close, As I Watch You Spiral Down
Silent, Because I Know What You’ll Say
It Breaks Me, My Silence, But Not As Broken As You
I Know You’ll Never Come
And I Know You Never See
When That Child Flashes Through
Silent, I’ll Stay Silent
However Much it Kills Me
Because You Can Never Let Light In
Because You’re Afraid Of Monsters In The Dark
