Black Capped Chickadee
Breathless and beautiful ,
The freedom of falling.
A black-capped chickadee ,
taking flight.
For the tribes travel together.
First the finches,
Then the chickadees.
What abundance!
Honeysuckle,
Pansies and daisies.
Going hand in hand ,
Sitting by the Chickadee’s nest.
The wild-berries ,
Carefully held in the beak of the bird.
Nesting and nuzzling ,
in the heart of the tree.
A pompous gesture,
Thrown off by the silver birch.
Where the chickadees are descending,
Fluttering and flapping their wings.
They take their flight ,
soaring in the air.
For they fly ,
above the landscape;
Beneath their streaky plumage.
And they finally land ,
On a cherry blossom tree.
Underneath their tiny feet ,
The branches of the tree blossom.
Leaving a season behind;
An enticing early spring…..

True inspiration is drawn from nature . I am blessed with the surreal views in my garden and the Black Capped Chickadee is one of the prominent visitors at my garden .
