A family tradition ,

Being the best in the world ;

Passed from generation to generation ,

With grace and celerity.

One existing in every culture ,

That is deeply woven into the family history.

Where the elders are respected ,

And the children are being loved.

This inheritance is my strength.

With decorating the Christmas tree every year,

Bringing in the family cheer.

Hiding the baby teeth under the pillow,

For the tooth fairy to ,

bless the money next morning,

Making my eyes teary.

Playing a favourite board game ,

Till playtime, daytime seem the same.

Cooking our traditional family recipes ,

Where an aromatic blend of spices come together.

Friday night ,

Being the noisy , movie night .

Cuddling together watching a classic Bollywood film .

When you catch a glimpse of that ornament,

Or taste that food.

It brings you back to your tradition ,

With full learning and cognition.

Attesting the peaceful bondings ,

Between our family members.

One who celebrates this tradition,

That brings us closer and closer together,

With this new volition….
