If people are rooted to labels:
Dressing like everyone else
Instead of yourself
Acting like a “popular kid”
Instead of being yourself
Stuck, like trees rooted to the ground.
When they seek new things:
Make new friends
Go somewhere they have never been
With people they’ve never met;
They branch out like a flourishing tree.
When people act like themselves:
When they love themselves
Instead of trying to change;
When they have fun with the friends they have,
Instead of acting differently to make “cooler” friends;
They will bloom like trees in the spring.
