Escapism

I long to be more than,
A hollow shell,
And so;
A seed of hope,
Sits firmly,
Within my bones.
Fantasy is what,
Helps me cope,
A safe place to burrow,
A resting spot,
Away from sorrow.
Escapism is not the answer,
But the visions,
It gives me,
–Spark a light,
Inside my soul,
Bringing purpose to my life.
