暖冬 Nuan Dong Warm Winter
January 31, 2023
心中若有波澜起、即使寒冬暖如春。
Xin Zhong Ruo You Bo Lan Qi, Ji Shi Han Dong Nuan Ru Chun.

Moving to Connecticut from Shanghai China just this past year has made me homesick. The winters on the east coast are also quite different from anything I have experienced in Shanghai. The cold and solitude were unbearable in the beginning until I found love. And at that point, I realized as long as someone loves you, no matter where you are or what the environment is there is a cozy feeling inside. Thus, I choose to present this poem three times, once in Chinese, once in Pingying (the phonetic representation of mandarin), and last in English.
