I feel as if I am a petal
floating on a lake
The lake is v a s t
Unyielding
The lake is as far as the
eagle’s eye
The lake has slain the sun and it bleeds a navy dye
The lake, is esoteric, clandestine, blind
on this lake, I float
as a single petal
floating,
wandering,
wistfulling,
expecting,
(dilatory),
along this vast vast unyielding lake…..
