The Lost Goodbye
Someone to rely on,
Into the dirt they throw.
A trustful person,
Trust dishonored a heart shatters; broke.
You love them in spite,
Long to discover.
In the twilight you left,
While calling you lover.
A goodbye was not said,
Someone else's hand.
So in the shadow you laid,
Looking to land.
The lost goodbye found,
In your mouth alone.
Now you let the seasons shift,
And that vague dream go.

This poem represents my first love, how they made me end things when I wanted to keep trying. It is about how they broke my heart without me knowing that they fell out of love a month before the last goodbye.
