c o l d t o u c h
it's so cold here
when my warmth has been snatched.
when my warmth has been stolen.
from my soul to my heart,
my arms to my eyes.
it's cold like ice
piercing through my skin.
so cold it's hot
when my warmth has been ripped from me.
when my warmth has been taken.
the touch is colder than snow
colder than carbon dioxide,
and hotter than lava
when my warmth has been seized.
when my warmth has been extracted.
t h e t o u c h i s c o l d
just as my heart is numb.

This poem reflects the feeling of when I have to say goodbye to my wonderful girlfriend. I always miss her when she is gone and soak up the time when she is with me.
