This poem is my shortest so far, consisting of only four lines, and forty-two words.

The theme: I am tired of people walking over me, as if I am some stepping-stone in a muddy river they wish to utilize to not dirty their shiny, expensive shoes.

The structure of this poem is important, as well. First-line: "No." Second: "On." Third-line: "No." Fourth-line "Yes." It starts with the word "no," then has "no" backwards as the start of the second-line. Reading vertically from the left, down, is "N-O" for the first letters of the first two lines. Then, "No, Yes" for the first words of the last two. This is meant to signify change of the poem, as it goes from one spelling "No," to saying "No," and then finally saying "Yes," even though there was no compromise.

The description of this poem is intentionally longer than the poem itself, to give the reader insight as to what the poem means.
