Orchid
Scrolling on social medias,
Overwhelmed by information,emotion,powerlessness.
I tell my grandma,
As if it’s possible,
To turn back time.
Back to the time when she would hold my hand,
Hold my hand while singing the song about orchid,
In a quiet afternoon,
With the breeze from the fan,
And thinking that people are coming together,
Together as a family.
Now I’m laying on my bed,
Don’t know what is the next thing popping up on my page.
Good or bad?
True or fake?
The random algorithm,
The randomness of the world,
Keeping let me overthink for another long night.
