Rise of Your Chest
Returning to the room where my fears all began
was the first time I saw you smile, the first time I saw you laugh.
Returning to the spring, were it all began
was a time of weakness, a time I’ll regret.
So instead of waiting for you to come back,
I ran.
Laying on your grave I want to remember anything, but I cant.
Laying on this patch of grass I run back to a time
where your arms were wrapped around me,
Where I could feel your breath on my neck.
And the rise and fall of your chest.
Returning to the room wont feel the same because I know I wont stay after everything has changed.
Returning to the spring wont make anything better because I know I’ll just have to lose you again in the summer.
So instead of waiting for you to come back,
I ran.
Its been so long since I’ve seen your beautiful face.

Life sucks and is unfair. But when a melody dances in the wind, stop and enjoy the peacefulness.
