I can’t find anything;
Anything worthwhile.
Worth my time,
You certainly aren’t.

You came to me one day,
Said you wanted to get to know me,
That you wanted someone to care about.
That someone was me.

We had a good time,
Talking late into the night.
You made me feel alive,
For the first time in my life.

Day breaks and you aren’t here,
I can’t find you.
I search and I saw,
You found someone else.

Someone;
You wanted to get to know,
That you wanted to care about,
That someone was her.

I thought you’d be different,
But I guess I was wrong.
I just hoped and prayed,
That some day you would change.

You played me,
Like so many others.
When will you know?
That it’s no fun for us.

We want what you want.
Someone to get to know,
Someone to care about.
That someone will never be you.
