What I want is what I can't have
It started out with a simple handshake
That led to even more.
Since then my skin yearned for your touch even more.
Like the simple rub of our shoulders as we walk down the hall,
The way your leg feels when it’s resting against mine
As the lunch period races by,
The way I hold onto my pencil too long before letting go
Making our hands touch,
Or the way you rub my back when I’m having a bad day.
I’m always longing for the thing I never have.
YOU!
