The Time

Heavens roar
and fires ice
the blue across the sky
in painful streaks of blood and hope
the time she tries to hide
a ticking hand
beats down like rain
in chains of a lover’s embrace
the stagnant kiss of music’s quiet
the tears rafting down her face
time holds
It cracks
It never understands
It knows what human’s feel
as the heavens hold back
but a hellish laugh
and the wounds just begin to heal
