you once flew .
skin as pale as a dove
deprived wings; tattered and torn
your hopes are trashed
your dreams forlorn
flying is only a memory;
a distant past you can't bring back
you once flew to the stars, baby girl,
it only devastates to remember the past
the invincible bird you once were,
high on hopes, ambitions filled with dreams,
you can't find her now,
she's been abandoned,
misplaced behind chained portals
deserted and cast away,
she dreams no more .
