How I Work
I can't think straight
Unless I have a working black pen
In position
In my right hand
A half inch off the
Blank page
In my favorite green notebook
On my lap.
Then the words flow
And worlds are created
In my imagination
And I don't know what I've written
Until I go back and read it
And then it's like reading a book
(One I haven't written)
And it's fun
More fun than anyone else has writing
It's a superpower
(But it's real)
And I really have it
But there is a defect
(And this I dislike)
The defect is
That I can only think clearly
When I have a working black pen
In position
In my right hand
A half inch off the
Blank page
In my favorite green notebook
On my lap.
