Trickles of Hope
Clouds send trickles of hope to dance across my hair
my arms
my face
I get painted blue
The drops make me dance too
My body moves to the beat of hope hitting the ground
and my own limbs
wash away my worries
but leave my little jokes
take away my sadness
but keep my careful smiles
"let me go back with you"
I plead with the drops
"Let me come when you float up to the sky. I promise I'll come back down"
I hope I am a good liar.
