You Broke Me
You took away my dignity;
paralyzed the fire in me
Left me so numb,
the anger's nowhere to be found
If at once I was as
courageous as a lion,
then now I am as
timid as a mouse,
but somehow I'd rather be
with someone and miserable,
than lonely and without
My reason's clouded by the good days we have,
although they are, far and few; forced and fake
There's no hour that goes by that
I don't think of her;
What she has and
what I don't
My friends convince me that it's
not my fault,
they say,
I'm falling apart, and it's all because of you
You broke us, but what's worse is that
you broke me.
