I lay next to him
Just laying
My mind at ease
I missed him
As we lay there my head on his shoulder
My hand on his chest
The feeling of his arms around me
Holding me close
We kiss
It feels so normal
So effortless
He hugs me closer
My hand still on his chest
I can feel
The faint thud of his heart
Pounding in its cage
This is true happiness
This is serenity
This is the place I always want to be
Were nothing matters just you and me
