Burning Year's End
Flames lick at the edges of what only god knows;
A year like another teenage girls I suppose.
Ups and downs, spin arounds, lurking at every turn;
Scars and cuts, whores and sluts, searching for something to burn.
On the outside pain turns to blood and tears spring fresh leaks;
Because the girl on the inside is full of cracks and creaks.
A fragile existence torn and tattered, at best stitched together;
Best thing to think is this horrible year can't last forever.
Everywhere you look, a new crisis appears in thin air;
and the worst part is, the solution's just not there.
Slinking down the hallways and spilling across daily surface;
Fire is bright and fire is clean, so with that, into the furnace.
World falls apart, pain inflicted from what each and every boy breaks;
Another comes and another goes when one is recovering heart aches.
City crumbles to a world of bleakness by the dreary December end;
Days trn to nights and nights to days as you stand afar and wair their spend.
What good is a year to start so blissful, and unravel to tragic destruction?
When a 13 year old girl finds the whispered lies, fatal fall to corruption.
Shredded disregards and forgoten memories lost in the night;
A blaze to sweep the whole year clean, one flame to ignite.
Sun burns, time turns erasing, escaping within a flame;
The truest, purest, brightest we learn, that shall never ever be tame.
But where is the fun in losing mistakes from which one can cathch?
A springboard into a newer, brighter year: one single match.
