insomnia
do you hear me,
i'm listening to you,
to your indigo prose
and the taste of your words.
i'm drinking it in,
breathing in deep,
spellbound,
like sweet
staticky
smoke;
you're in my lungs
heart
ears
sleep
i'm dying to know
that weight on your heart
the beating confines
and gritty insides.
starry eyes,
body and mind
i'm dying to claim what is mine.
can you feel my pulse?
it's sprinting farther
faster
harder
than you and i
would dare to go.
but take it slow;
let's fall in
and never come back out.
do you hear me?
it's drowsy but true.
do you think of me,
like i'm thinking of you?
