need (to feel)
sudden
intake of breath,
our blinks and words
stirring the air
there is nothing left
(to feel)
nothing but
your intrigue and rhyme,
that ceaseless pull
and my willingness
to believe.
i'm drowning
slowly
softly
gladly
back into your
various multitudes--
sinking into those
bottomless blues,
eyes shut tight,
suspended,
transcendent;
time
space
air
life
(and its monotone lullabies)
are nothing
compared
to this.
