Fifty Stars, Fifty States
The American flag waves through the chaos and trouble,
we see the flag as a beacon of peace
The message the flag so gallantly sends truly is subtle,
and the highest sign of honor at the least.
Standing true the flag sends us a thought,
a message of the homeless all over the nation
But as a population, do we care of the havoc that’s been wrought,
God created us to live in tranquility, but do we even care if we give to charity a simple donation.
As our soldiers fight over in Iraq,
do we think twice of the causes of this war
I should think not, most of us choose to watch and lay back,
however of the right decision, we are not quite sure.
I believe that a change should occur for us all,
a day of reckoning should come to our aid
But if an American flag is visible, raised high and tall
Look to the colors, the red, white, and blue shade.
