Angel of Mine

I woke up today
and remembered, it's may
today is his birthday
without him I feel like a mere
shadow, with no reason to exist
outside the mist
is clearing up, I head outside
and wonder if there's a reason to life
he's not here anymore
he crossed a door
to where I cannot follow
and I was left alone with my sorrow
yet I can feel him everywhere I go
from the sun's warmth on my head to
the swans graceful flight
and I'm waiting until the day I might
join him, I don't know when
but until then,
happy birthday,
angel of mine
