You are my Mother.
You may not have given me life,
You may not have carried me for nine months,
You may not be a birth mother,
And you may not have given me my genes.
But…
You are the one who built my life,
You are the one who loves me unconditionally,
You are the one to be there 24/7 for me,
You are the one who backs me up no matter what.
Although…
You may not be the one with the same eyes as me,
You may not be the one with the same nose,
You may not be the one I first saw,
You may not be my spitting image.
Nevertheless…
You are the one who took me to school,
You are the one who was there at all my games,
You may not know, you are the world to me
Because you are 100% my mother.
