Ending In Atrophy
What is to become of us
when snow covers the trail?
The path I tread on has become obscured
Does this mean I'm just another sickness
not worthy of being cured?
The world you loved and the life I knew
has been plagued with a tragedy
that refuses to subdue
I'm melting,
melting through the cracks in the floor.
The infection that courses its way under my skin
is what I've grown to adore.
What will happen to me
when my lungs will not breathe?
Then will anyone see
Why my heart refused to beat?
