The Hand of Death
Flesh vacant from the marbled hand of death it gropes my limbs
I reel out reaching for not
Coldness rings in round my heart “mercy!” I scream but to no avail
One by one my limbs fail
I am trapped encased in my body as a tomb
Then… warmth tugs gently at my heart I can feel again
I am forced up, up though the crest of the frozen lake I burst
And what my lungs lusted for is provided
A fiery sensation ripples through my vains as they come to life
And I join the world of the living once more.
