Two Flags
Everyday she wonders if today will be the day they come home
After months and months away
She hopes and prays everyday
Watches the news whenever its on
In hopes that they say something
A new letter hasn't come in a month
She's scared
But she knows to be strong
A believe that they're ok
Weeks go by without a singal word Or call
Then someone finally tells her
The news
He handed her two folded flags
She says," Thank you."
A shuts the door
Places the flags down next to her
And screams," You promised you wouldn'tleave me here alone!"
Then cries squeezing the flags as tight as she can
She new she would get the flags sooner or later
Sooner is what she was afriad of
The two flags ment that death had come
