Galaxies Away
The sun loses another battle to the moon,
The last rays of his light
Consumed by growing gloom
I open my bright eyes & i see
The star-lit sky gleaming above me
The midnight sky is mysterious in his strange ways,
Enticing me into a trance-like state
I fall beneath the surface of reality
My self-induced coma
Protective heroin of my failing sanity
This is my realm of preference
The only place where I am, me
My head locked inside of the clouds
Reality was never sufficient -
Only the universe can set me free.
