Engulfed And The Art Of Knowing
All I know is that life
Is more vivid when I’m sleeping
And when living is a joke
I’m the jester they’re jeering
I’ve learned that staring
At the tap
Won’t make it magically feel
It will just keep dripping
As sinks tend to do
Just like my phone will not vibrate
With a message from you
And all my will power
Is useless, in truth
At best, I collect
These same hopes of mine
Just in time to see them crash
And burn hearts and minds alike
But if I said I didn’t like
This burning path I take
I’d be a liar
Some roads are better
While engulfed by flame
And the soles of my feet
Have no mouth to complain
