My Sun
I imagine my strands of long messy hair
Whipping across my face from the wind,
Are your fingertips
Caressing my cheeks,
And smoothing away wrinkles of distress
I feel my dress
Dancing across my body,
Gently kissing my legs
And I imagine it as your lips
Softly, sweetly making me forget what sadness is
I hug my light jacket tighter
But feel it as your arms
Pulling me into you
And away from reality
You always make me feel safe
The sun is out, which is fitting
I lay in the grass and let it beat down on every part of me
And I swear, I feel you next to me
I feel you all over me, because you are the sun
My sun.
My john.
