When you were young MAG
When you were young you liked music
You talked loud, and fast, and hard
Because that was the only way they could hear you
When you were young you read chapter books
You let your nose run down your chin
Before wiping it on your dirty sleeve
When you were young you wore down winter coats
And didn't care if they made you look fat
When you were young you climbed trees
And you picked their crimson cherries and
Spat out the pits on the ground
When you were young you played in the sparkling rain
And the mud and the sand, and the grass, and the hills
When you were young you drank Kool-aid on the patio
You ran with sparklers on the fourth of July
And the sun felt warm and big and
So did the rest of the world
