Always Found
Never been lost
Head up in the clouds, but always knowing where to turn
Nothing like this exploded rainbow splattered across paper
These orderly buildings that are malicious red herrings
And winding highways bereft of bread crumbs
Clear voices giving succor from somewhere unknown,
Incomprehensible sounds settling like fairy dust on innocent skin,
Transforming a mind with shimmering scales and eyes made lifeless by threatening cleavers
Fingers fumbling with strange, flat coins struggling to keep up with the fast pace
Of another world
Blood red leaves and crystalline sky
People, people like so many fish in the surrounding ocean creeping up the beach of industrial life
Specks of dust in the clouds of soot rising from bustling streets
Following the crowds over roads that breathe through metal grates,
Doesn’t know north, south or east, west, but amongst the chaos aware of herself
Always found eventually
