My Deadly Child
Sun sets
As winter comes
And eyes flutter with moments left
Somber skin
As white as snow
Against ebony wings shadowing death
An innocent face
Of a child born
With the fate of stealing the life
Of men and woman and those unborn
The penalty, a chilling bite
Of an angel, born of death
And hate
Knowing not what his fate holds
Told of life and beautiful things
He’s left to break and never hold
His soft, pale skin
And eyes gently wild
Known as, always
My deadly child
