The Lost
Lost
Standing on the ground feeling that all is now ending
Having no idea what to do next when your back’s against the wall
Trying to survive the war going on in and out of your body
All emotions flaring up when your mind goes blank
You don’t know what’s next and you’re trying to guess
The pouring rain of doubt keeps you from pushing on
As you lay there feeling nothing but regret
There is someone willing to help you out
You mind races as your emotions debate what choice to make
That person begs you, “Please we can help.”
But pride and ignorance continue to hold you back
That person stares full of disgust and trots away full of dismay
You take your own way thinking your on top
You find that your choice indeed was wrong, but yet you still have no regrets
On the second day, when all hope is gone again the person asks you
Choosing between your pride or learning what’s right, you choose to learn
On the third day when you’re almost out, the person leaves you on your own
You weep and sniffle, you yell and break, yet you know you are ready
You stand up and take on the full blow of what the real deal is
The ending of this journey begins the beginning of the next
How you begin the long and emotional journey of life, also leads to how you end it
