Some ask me “how are you?”
I respond:
“It is hard to speculate what the future holds.
The past is not worth speaking about.
The present slips by as we speak,
so how can we possibly encapsulate its meaning?”
They turn away,
remarking “What a jerk!”

I wrote this poem when I was speaking to my cousin in a fancy tone. She was greatly annoyed.
