Waking up in the middle of the night
the sun is shining somewhere
I know
at least I heard that on the static foamed radio
Once upon a time
Time
it's nothing but a ocean I am
drowning in
my fingers scratch to feel the air but it's
not here
under the beams of a thousand lights
I am blind
to everything around but my own
heart lusting for happiness
a buoy of joy floating past
that few can grasp
