Get Somewhere
Sit on my bed
And think of their faces.
Dreams in my head
As I walk in those places.
Nothing is wrong
Just unsatisfying.
But sip a sweet song
About love undying.
Guitar in my lap
And shoes on my floor.
Let my foot tap
And stare at my door.
When nothing is coming
And all will go
I'll hear my strumming
And never know.
A bloom of pale blue
And sky of peach pink.
Run my mind through
Then forget to think.
Can't do my work
And can't feel my eyes.
Boredom will lurk
While beauty flies.
The pen touches the paper
The voice kisses the ear.
The frowning will taper
When the heart kicks the fear.
Know what I mean
And hear what I say.
Same exact scene
Just a different play.
Outside of the den
Where it's all about
Grinning to the end
And then strolling out.
