I Love You...But I Don't
The looks you give
The laughs we have
The smiles you share
The jokes no one gets
All amounts to what?
I love you
But I don’t.
All the times you’ve made me laugh
All the times you’ve given me a smile
All the times you’ve changed my day
All the times you’ve built my trust
All amounts to what?
I love you
But I don’t.
You bring me joy
You build my faith
You erase sad thoughts
You get me through my day
But it all amounts to what?
I love you
But I don’t.
As simple as a touch
As simple as a glance
As simple as a word
As simple as a thought
All amounting to what?
I love you…
But I don’t.
You’re my brother in Christ, and I love you.
You’re my best friend, and I love you.
But even with all of that…I don’t.
