Just listen,
Listen to the snow glisten.
Over the soft rolling plain,
I hear the snow calling my name.

A gentle breeze brushes across my face,
The snow is fragile as velvet or lace.
Ode to the beauty of the snow,
Ode to how the snow will glow, will flow.

Over the soft rolling plain,
I hear the snow calling my name.
And I listen,
Listen to the snow glisten.

The author's comments:
This was the very first poem I ever wrote. I was in 6th grade and my english teacher told us to write one. This is also probably my favorite poem I've written and I'm very proud of it beacuse it got me started. I hope it'll inspire people to write or write more whether they think what they've written is worth reading or not.
