Neptune’s Plutonian Shores
I often gaze up
At the ocean in the sky.
The cold-fire stars lie in its depths.
Clouds wash over them,
Hiding them from intelligent eyes.
Thoughts swarm about
Like bees,
Never settling,
But in constant motion
As night turns into day and day into night.
The weight of these thoughts
Anchors me to the sea floor
Where the currents from the oceanic mirror of clouds and stars
Pushes through the land
Everything swaying and bending to Neptune’s gentle breath
In this sea of clouds
Where I stand in liquid sound
